Christian Education at Trinity
We offer weekly Sunday School in the Fall through Spring during our 10 o'clock service.
The Curriculum we use is Lectionary based from the Episcopal Church.
Living the Good News bridges everyday stories with the timeless stories of our Christian faith. Key benefits and features of Living the Good News:
• Lectionary based – uses the weekly scriptures from the Revised Common Lectionary.
• Involves all age levels – all ages studying the same scriptures at the same time.
• Multi-Age Leader’s Guide perfect for smaller churches or intergenerational classrooms
• Arts-enhanced – learners dig into the scriptures through art, music, movement and more.
• Free online support site provides a host of additional background and other resources each quarter.
All Things New is the curriculum for today's children and today’s Church. This program for children from preschool through sixth grade offers a rich mix of age-appropriate activities centered on scripture and Christian "basics." Simple, easy-to-use components with contemporary graphics help time-pressured faith-formation leaders learn the basics they need to be effective leaders. Innovative components include poster packets of fine-art reproductions, an Interactive CD for music and movement, a Parent Poster that consists of a calendar to link your faith-formation program with the home, and the children's prayer book Kids Prayer book
Young Teen (Grades 7 9)...Increasing pressure to fit in is strong for young teens. These timely sessions help catechists communicate unconditional acceptance and how faith helps teens weather problems, accept shortcomings and make wise choices.
High School (Grades 10-12)...Equip leaders with the confidence and resources to face and explore teenagers' challenging questions. Ideas for self-discovery and service invite teens to put God's love to work in their peer groups, parish and community.
In the summer we have all the children gather for our "One Room Sunday School" where they learn Bible stories and do crafts.
Adult Education programs are offered periodically through the year.
